Does the Victoria’s Secret college-aged PINK collection influence girls younger than its “intended” audience?  Of course it does.  But it’s only a rumor that VS’ new “Bright Young Things” collection is aimed at pre-college-aged girls.  Hyper-sexualization is just another disgraceful facet of our culture.  You don’t want your kid to wear Victoria’s Secret?  Fair enough.  That’s your job as a parent — to instill in your daughter the values you find indispensable.  Will attacking an industry titan that’s made its millions selling sexy likely change its marketing approach?
